We are recruiting a Senior Pricing Analyst to join our team of health care professionals. As a Senior Pricing Analyst, you will provide management with the needed analysis and information to inform the organization’s pricing strategy, as well as operationalize tactical decisions to meet key goals, objectives, and pricing guarantees. This position requires flexible problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration with other departments, and the ability to adapt to a fast-paced and complex specialty pharmacy environment.
Job type: This position will be a full-time, hybrid schedule for candidates that reside in the Portland/SW Washington area.

Position responsibilities:
- Analyze pharmaceutical market trends, competitor pricing, and internal cost structures to develop and recommend competitive and sustainable pricing strategies for prescription medications.
- Utilize and evolve statistical models and data analysis techniques to assess the impact of pricing decisions on revenue, profitability, and possible patient impact.
- Evaluate opportunities and identify key negotiation points to enable sufficient return/profitability.
- Establish and maintain pricing within adequate market ranges.
- Identify cost of goods opportunities and collaborate to deliver.
- Analyze pricing-related data, including historical pricing, sales data, and market research specific to pharmaceuticals.
- Conduct data analysis to identify pricing opportunities, trends, and areas for improvement.
- Develop reports, dashboards, and presentations to communicate pricing insights and inform and influence decisions.
- Monitor and track competitor pricing strategies in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Identify pricing & value differentials and opportunities to maintain a competitive edge in the market.
- Stay informed about regulatory changes and industry trends affecting pharmaceutical pricing.
- Collaborate closely with pharmacy management, procurement and finance teams, and clinical providers to align pricing strategies with medication offerings and patient care objectives.
- Continuously refine pricing models and strategies to optimize profitability while considering patient affordability and medication access.
- Recommend pricing adjustments based on comprehensive data analysis, evolving market conditions, and patient needs.
- Leverage strong communication skills with the ability to prepare and present complex data in ways that enable clarity and understanding.
- Interface with other departments in the pharmacy, procurement, accounting, billing, and legal spheres of influence. There may be some interface with external stakeholders from time to time.
- Efficiently provide senior management with the analysis and information they need to make operational, financial, and strategic decisions.
- Refine pricing models and optimize profit margin strategy.
- Collaborate with other business functions and staff to identify and drive financial and/or process improvements.
- Monitor results with respect to KPIs (margin/revenue) and contribute to an environment of continuous improvement.
- Design and perform internal pricing controls to ensure the integrity of the established pricing strategy.
- Provide ad hoc internal support for the 340B contract pharmacy program.
- Actively participate and provide support as needed to leadership and quality program staff to ensure activities related to the company’s quality management program and quality improvement activities maintain priority focus and are effectively executed. This may include but is not limited to activities that promote objective and systematic measurement, monitoring, and evaluation of services and defined Quality Improvement Projects (QIPs) that may result from such efforts.
- Comply with the company's Human Resources policies, Employee Handbook, Code of Conduct, and all department policies and procedures, including protecting confidential company, employee, and customer information; and adhering to good safety practices in all activities.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Required skills:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent specializing in Finance, Business, or Data Analytics.
- 3-6 years' experience in the financial field with strong understanding of key financial business principles.
- Preferred pharmaceutical background.
- Preferred previous experience/exposure in the 340B Drug Pricing Program.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and planning skills.
- Ability to rapidly develop proficiency and build upon new systems and tools.
- Ability to plan and implement projects, including adherence to sensitive timelines.
- Advanced user in Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of corporate finance projects and enterprise trade secrets.
- Organized and inquisitive with high attention to detail.
- Ability to add value and collaborate effectively with multi-disciplinary teams.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic healthcare environment.
- Ability to work well under pressure with frequent interruptions and shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to present a professional business image and excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
