Southern California’s largest privately held environmental services company is looking to hire a Finance Manager to support the finance team. This role will provide a wide array of responsibilities with access to experienced mentors to help you thrive, including opportunities for growth.
As the Finance Manager your Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Preparation, development, implementation and monitoring of the annual Operating and Capital Budgets
- Development and maintenance of long-term financial plans providing a 10-year fiscal and economic outlook, including trends in the tax levy, reserves, debt, fees
- Monitor operating and capital budgets and key performance indicators and prepare financial analysis, reports, and presentations
- Administer capital project financing by monitoring project costs throughout the year and allocated funding sources appropriately e.g. Reserves, debt, grants
- Analyze financial data and create financial models to forecast future performance and alternative scenarios
- Collaborate cross-functionally to develop and maintain accurate forecasts and budgets
- Present financial reporting to leadership, including variance analysis and ad hoc reports
- Monitor customer and supplier pricing, make recommendations for rates that improve margin and promote business health
- Implement and maintain custom and contract rates
- Build analytic tools to assess performance of established pricing
- create business recommendations informed by data-driven analysis to support the decision-making process
- Connect business changes with how they might impact our financial performance in the future and communicate these potential impacts to leadership.
- Partner with internal stakeholders on cross-functional projects
- Support Analytics team by completing ad-hoc analyses
What you will bring
- Bachelor's Degree in a program that emphasizes applied mathematics such as Finance, Engineering, Economics, Supply Chain, Analytics, Statistics
- 8+ years experience in financial analysis or data analysis roles
- Preference given to candidates with experience in Waste Management, logistics, transportation or other multi-site
- 1+ years of leading teams is a plus
- Preference for candidate with WorkDay and Adaptive Planning experience
- Expert level in Microsoft Excel including pivot tables and vlookups
- Proficient in other Microsoft Office products (i.e. PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Ability to effectively communicate across all functional disciplines, including sales, FP&A, accounting, IT, and engineering

Compensation range $120,000 – 165,000 + Bonus + more!!
