The Position
Our client is seeking to fill a Sr. Commercial Credit Analyst role located in the Trenton, NJ market. The successful Credit Analyst candidate will be responsible for processing daily credit transactions per the credit policy and procedures; maintaining records and files on all credit transactions, including correspondence and documents.
This position comes with a generous salary of up to $80K and full benefits package.
Sr. Commercial Credit Analyst responsibilities include:
- Supporting the Bank’s lending activities by providing insightful and timely credit analysis of prospective and current borrowers, including interpretation of financial statements, collateral and cash flows.
- Interacting with loan officers, credit manager, other lending support staff, customers, accountants, and appraisers.
- Assisting loan officers as well as junior credit analysts in writing loan presentations for approval.
- Collaborating with Commercial Bankers on follow-up for covenant violations, monitors financial statement submission maturity date renewals and past due reporting, and loan underwriting.
- Working credit exceptions and credit ticklers regularly.
- Analyze financial data to determine the merits of loan requests.
- Spreading and analyzing financial statements utilizing spreading software.
- Recommend structure as well as identifying cross-selling/referring opportunities of other services.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
Who Are You?
You bring the following skills and experience:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in finance or accounting.
- Three or more years of credit analysis desired.
- Knowledge of banking industry practices relative to bank loan operations with respect to loan products and services.
- High level of analytical ability.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills; ability to maintain the confidentiality of information, as appropriate.
- Practical working knowledge of financial statement analysis.
- Solid Computer literacy skills (Word, Excel) with accurate data entry skills and the ability to master specific software programs used to spread financial information.
- A high level of initiative, thoroughness, accuracy and organizational skills required.
- Detail oriented with good organizational and effective judgment skills.
