An exciting opportunity has arisen as an administrative and technical Business Analyst 2 within the business application development section of the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation’s Driver and Vehicle Services Program Management Office. Your role involves overseeing team members tasked with creating test scripts, preparing documentation, and analyzing defects related to our titling and registration applications. This position offers a platform to demonstrate your organizational capabilities while advancing your professional journey. In this role, you will oversee and participate in the system development life cycle of applications. You will manage a team responsible for creating test scripts, documentation, and analyzing defects in our titling and registration applications. Additionally, you will coordinate resources for testing activities and handle administrative tasks such as project planning, test plans, requirements gathering, and project status updates.
You will deliver concise status reports to executive management, business areas, vendors, and other stakeholders regarding progress, issues, and events related to ongoing enhancement and defect efforts. You will engage in verbal and written communication with various external management personnel, acting as a bridge between staff making system changes and coding. Furthermore, you will be involved in analytical tasks supporting the adaptation of electronic data processing methods to multiple applications, as well as work-measurements, work-simplification, and manpower-utilization studies.
Work Schedule and Additional Information:- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.
- This position may be required to work during office closures.

QUALIFICATIONSMinimum Experience and Training Requirements:- Five years of business process analysis experience; or
- One year as a Business Analyst 1; or
- One year as an Information Technology Trainee; or
- One year of business process analysis experience and a bachelor’s degree; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
