Position Overview:
As the Senior Cost Accountant at Auradine, you will play a crucial role in supporting cost accounting practices and enhancing financial accuracy. This role involves analyzing costs, assisting in budget development, and implementing cost control measures. By fostering efficient processes, you will help ensure the financial foundation that supports future growth, scalability, and profitability of the company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the maintenance of cost accounting policies and procedures.
- Contribute to the development of accurate cost estimates for new products and product changes to support pricing decisions.
- Perform cost-benefit analyses for various projects and initiatives to determine financial viability and impact.
- Collaborate with supply chain and procurement teams to manage and optimize costs related to materials and suppliers and to ensure the timely and accurate monthly and quarterly reporting of inventory, costs of goods sold, and other financial data.
- Work with the Operations department on inventory management and product planning
- Assist in the analysis of manufacturing processes to identify opportunities for efficiency improvement, cost reduction, and increased profitability.
- Generate detailed cost reports and analyze them to ensure accuracy and compliance with established accounting standards.
- Assist in the creation of business plans, financial models, and other analyses related to new business initiatives.
- Manage and control inventory costs, including conducting periodic physical inventory counts and reconciling discrepancies.
- Work on developing cost forecasts and projections to support strategic planning and decision-making processes.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
- 3+ years of experience in cost accounting, preferably in a manufacturing or hardware company.
- Experience with silicon or chip companies is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Excel, SAP, Oracle, and other relevant financial software.
- Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Compensation:
The national pay range for this role is $65,000 and $130,000. Individual compensation will be commensurate with the candidate’s experience aligned with Auradine’s internal leveling guidelines and benchmarks.
