Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial software, public accounting, and corporate accounting. As a Senior Accountant, you will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This is a critical position that requires strong financial acumen and attention to detail. This is a full-time position that offers competitive compensation and benefits.
Responsibilities:
- Manage Accounts Payable (A/P) processes
- Approve expenses for reimbursement and credit card transactions
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and perform variance analysis
- Track prepaid expenses and deferred revenue
- Prepare monthly journal entries
- Ensure sales tax compliance
- Assist with payroll processing and tax filing
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities
- Prepare accurate and timely financial reports for senior management
- Assist in implementing and maintaining accounting control procedures
- Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting
- Conduct Budget vs Actuals analysis and prepare variance analysis
- Collaborate with CFO to optimize financial operations
- Analyze trends, identify areas of concern or opportunity, and provide insights to management
- Assist with audit requests
- Support testing for future ERP implementation
- Complete various ad hoc projects as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred
- 3-5 years of general accounting experience in a corporate environment required
- Proficiency in Excel and NetSuite
- Strong knowledge of GAAP accounting principles and financial acumen
- Excellent analytical and quantitative skills with attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with team members and other departments
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Strong time management and prioritization skills
- Ability to problem-solve effectively
- Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in financial data entry
