Senior Manager, Business Analysis
The Senior Manager, Business Analysis leads a team who works closely with stakeholders to identify, document, and manage project scope, translating business needs into detailed business and functional requirements. The Senior Manager's primary responsibility is ensuring each project meets business requirements and expectations. This involves leading a team in establishing project vision and scope requirements with business partners, creating, and managing scope documents, and handling scope changes between various requirement documents (Business Requirements and Functional Requirements).
The Senior Manager, Business Analysis also ensures the team creates comprehensive and traceable requirements documents (Business Requirements and Functional Requirements), ensuring proper change controls and audit adherence. These documents, including assumptions, must be approved by all key stakeholders.
Additionally, the Senior Manager, Business Analysis leads a team to support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure value delivery, designing test cases with the system tester using various requirement-gathering documents.
Lastly, The Senior Manager leads a team in creating the change impact assessments and provides analysis on how organizational changes may affect stakeholders before implementation.
What You’ll Do
Business Analysis
- Manage a team of Business Analysts responsible for creating and delivering Business & Functional Requirements Definitions (BRD, FRD) for projects and enhancements.
- Gather requirements through surveys, questionnaires, interviews, one-on-one meetings, user stories, brainstorming sessions, process diagramming, follow-up meetings, and workshops.
- Collect data from the right people and prepare documents based on these gathered requirements.
- Verify the quality and completeness of the documented requirements by conducting stakeholder validation. Address inconsistencies or requirements gaps to mitigate risks and ensure the finished product meets stakeholder expectations.
User Acceptance Testing
- Manage a team of Business Analysts who collaborate with quality assurance specialists and end users to create UAT Test Scripts to ensure business needs are met.
- Consider possible scenarios to aid in designing the UAT test cases; refer to requirement-gathering documents, use cases, user stories, design decision documents, and functional design documents.
- Identify the end-users who will be performing the UAT testing.
- Refine Quality Assurance (QA) teams’ initial UAT test cases based on business requirements to ensure they align with real-world usage scenarios.
- Assist testers properly while designing the test cases and help them understand the system’s functionality.
Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration
- Manage a team that collaborates with business stakeholders to document the project's scope, objectives, added value, and benefit expectations.
- Ensure clarity exists across all stakeholders around Project Scope related explicitly to BRD and FRD by creating and managing scope documents and ensuring scope alignment across the BRD and FRD.
- Help the EPMO identify OKRs, KPIs, and Values and benefits that will be derived from a project.
Impact Assessment
- Manage a team of Business Analysts who serve as vital communicators between business stakeholders and solution teams, ensuring everyone is on the same page regarding the proposed changes and what it will take to achieve them.
- Evaluate the impact on business and categorize new requirements' impact on the business as high, medium, or low.
- In collaboration with the head of IT Relations and CM, provide visibility to change impacts to ensure teams are developing the proper training and the organization is set up to support the adoption of the new tools developed by IT.
Leadership
- Lead, manage, and develop a team of business analysts, ensuring high performance and professional growth.
- Training and Development: Train the team on business analysis methodologies, tools, and best practices.
- Act as a mentor, providing guidance, support, and knowledge sharing to foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment.
About Our Ideal Candidate
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent experience) in Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field.
Experience
- Minimum 8 years’ experience in business analysis, project management, or related roles within an IT environment.
- Minimum 8 years proven track record of successfully leading business analysis efforts and delivering IT projects.
- Minimum 2 years consulting experience as a business analyst.
Licenses & Certifications
- IIBA Entry Certificate in Business Analysis (ECBA)- Preferred.
- IIBA Certification of Competency in Business Analysis (CCBA) - Preferred.
- IIBA Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) - Preferred.
- IIBA Agile Analysis Certification (AAC) - Preferred.
- IQBBA Certified Foundation Level Business Analyst (CFLBA) - Preferred.
- IREB Certified Professional for Requirements Engineering (CPRE) - Preferred.
- PMI Professional in Business Analysis (PBA) - Preferred.
- Certified Analytics Professional (CAP) - Preferred.
- High proficiency in SQL and database management- Preferred.

Additional Details For This Role
This role will be a hybrid role. Subject to business needs, employees may work remotely up to two days per week. Assigned office days will be determined by managers.
- The salary (or hiring) range for this position is $150,000 - $165,000 per year.
- Starting salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, location, and alignment with market data.
- This position is eligible to participate in the relevant Brother variable pay incentive plan(s). Applicable bonus awards are discretionary and contingent upon 1) achievement of your individual objectives and 2) Brother achieving its corporate and business-level objectives.
