POSITION OVERVIEW
The Senior Accountant will play a key role in the financial close and reporting process, with a particular focus on revenue recognition and gross-to-net accounting in accordance with ASC 606. This role will work closely with various internal and external stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. The Senior Accountant will also contribute to the implementing and maintenance of scalable revenue accounting processes and will play a key role in providing accurate information to the business for decision making. This role is a unique opportunity to deepen your expertise in revenue accounting and the financial close process, while collaborating cross-functionally to improve the overall transparency and accuracy of financial performance across the organization.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support the period close process by preparing reconciliations and journal entries, and assist in maintaining revenue recognition models, including gross-to-net accounting, ensuring ASC 606 compliance.
- Work closely with members of the accounting team to identify opportunities to improve the accuracy, timeliness and effectiveness of financial reporting.
- Work closely with Commercial Finance, Market Access, Compliance, and Supply Chain teams to effectively record and report revenue, providing valuable insights into how business activities impact financial results.
- Provide support to the internal controls (SOX) and external financial reporting (SEC Reporting) as necessary.
- Form good relationships with colleagues from other functions including FP&A, Legal, HR, IT, R&D, Operations, Sales & Marketing.
- Collaborate with external auditors during audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations to support the audit process.
- Communicate clearly with explanations and clarifying questions.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required, CPA preferred.
- 2-4 years of related experience required, Big 4 public accounting experience in auditing preferred.
- Strong understanding of GAAP accounting concepts.
- Experience auditing or working at/with pharmaceutical/biotech companies and/or gross-to-net revenue experience preferred.
- Experience effectively managing multiple priorities simultaneously and perform within deadlines.
- Hands-on experience using Microsoft Excel at an advanced level.
Pay Range
$90,800 - $100,000 USD
