The Asset Manager evaluates, reviews, and researches various types of transportation equipment to accurately determine values for several asset classes. In addition to overseeing the remarketing process for all returned equipment, including end of lease and repossessed assets, the Asset Manager collaborates with the Credit Department to assist in determining acceptable residual values and suggesting appropriate finance structures. This position requires regular travel to client locations for on-site equipment inspections, along with trips to manufacturers, vendors and relevant industry gatherings as needed to carry out job duties. Transportation Industry experience is a must.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Stay informed about the latest market trends, changes in demand and pricing activity within the transportation industry.
- Knowledge of secondary, wholesale and retail markets to make well-informed decisions aimed at maximizing value and reducing loss.
- Manage the third-party appraisal and remarketing process.
- Responsible for equipment valuations and approving acceptable residual values.
- Negotiate and enforce end-of-lease transactions and dispose of returned equipment.
- Establish and forecast collateral and residual values for equipment lease transactions including researching and analyzing technological trends and developments affecting residual exposure.
- Work with customers, internal departments and third parties to develop strategies that minimize loss.
- Develop and manage various remarketing channels for all equipment types.
- Must be able to travel periodically to perform inspections, attend seminars and/or training.
- May perform other duties as assigned by manager.
WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL ABILITIES:
- Requires frequent sitting, standing, balancing, bending or stooping for prolonged periods of time.
- Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator and other office equipment.
- Ability to communicate by providing verbal feedback in a professional manner.
- Ability to receive and analyze data and input into the computer.
- Ability to lift/push/pull up to 30 lbs.
- Normal range of hearing and vision.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
- Valid Driver's License and MVR in good standing.
- Bachelor’s degree and five years of relevant asset management experience preferred.
- ASA or equivalent appraisal certification preferred.
- Experience within the transportation industry is preferred.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to successfully complete a General Abilities Assessment and pass a post-offer background check, physical and drug screening.
JOB DETAILS:
- Compensation Range: $108,000.00 to $120,000.00
