Position Overview
Orange Barrel Media is seeking a Senior Analyst to join our growing analytics team. The Senior Analyst will coordinate with varying stakeholders in the business to develop reporting and analyses that helps empower other teams to make data-based decisions and help guide teams with recommendations based on business needs.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze data to identify insights that drive business decision-making.
- Develop and maintain SQL queries and stored procedures to extract, transform, and analyze data from various sources.
- Create and maintain advanced Tableau dashboards and reports to visualize data and present findings to non-technical stakeholders.
- Utilize strong data storytelling skills to provide tools and resources to the business.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into analytical solutions.
- Provide recommendations based on data analysis to maximize business value and support strategic business initiatives.
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity in all analysis and reporting efforts.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior analysts on the team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 5+ years of experience in financial analysis, business analysis, data analysis, or a related field.
- Detail-oriented experience leading projects.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills. Able to advocate for data driven decision making to a variety of audiences.
- Advanced proficiency in SQL, with experience in writing complex queries and working with disparate datasets.
- Strong experience with Tableau, including dashboard development, data visualization, and storytelling with data.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to derive insights from complex data sets.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Familiarity with other data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Looker) is a plus.
- Experience with statistical analysis and/or programming languages (e.g., Python, R) is a plus.
