Job Summary:
The Transformation & Strategy team uses knowledge and skills obtained through education, experience, specialized training and/or certification to manage multiple projects simultaneously, both large in size and broad in scope with an emphasis on data gathering, analysis and projections.
The ideal candidate will use extensive knowledge and skills obtained through education, experience, or specialized training to support the broader Supervision and Transformation & Strategy team. The associate will partner with stakeholders across Supervision to support, define and implement high-quality, data-driven reporting, support strategic initiatives, and complete complex assignments.
Additionally, under general supervision, uses knowledge and skills to manage financial metrics and professionally report to management. Guidance is provided to perform varied reporting functions with responsibility for making non-routine decisions. Regular contact with senior management and other internal customers is required to identify, research, and resolve cost allocation issues.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Gathers data from various sources to perform trending analysis and other ad-hoc reporting.
- Accurately maintain models and prepare summary reports as requested.
- Support team to plan, develop, and execute initiatives in Supervision functions.
- Analyzes results and presents them in a business-friendly manner.
- May plan, assign, and collaborate with the work of other associates.
- Balances conflicting resource and priority demands.
- Assist with ad-hoc data inquiries and requests; conduct research/analysis and effectively communicate findings.
- Develops, prepares, presents, and maintains project plans including staffing requirements, cost estimates, and work breakdown structures and schedules.
- Leads departmental teams to provide job related input to ensure all relevant information is considered.
- Identifies costs and develops methodology for accurate allocation across the organization.
- Prepares management reports in a format that can be quickly reviewed by management.
- Prepares Supervision economic models to assist in advisor recruiting decisions.
- Reviews, evaluates and implements process improvements, as appropriate.
- Identifies potential impact of new departments, subsidiaries, products and other changes on job responsibilities.
- Coordinates with management on the presentation and preparation of internal management reports that can be quickly reviewed by management.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of:
- Concepts, practices, and procedures of project management.
- Concepts, principles, and procedures of securities industry and/or banking compliance or related fields.
- Advanced Financial Reporting concepts, practices and procedures.
- Basic accounting principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- General office practices, procedures, and methods.
- General financial markets and products knowledge.
Skill in:
- Data analysis.
- Effective communication and presentation skills.
- Strong organization, planning, and time management.
- Advanced skills in Excel including knowledge of complex formulas and managing large data sets.
- Performing mathematical calculations.
- Operating standard office equipment and using required software applications, including word processing, spreadsheets and databases.
- Clear and concise written and verbal communication as well as ability to create effective presentations.
Ability to:
- Organize, self-manage, and track multiple detailed projects and responsibilities with frequently changing priorities in a fast-paced work environment.
- Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Learn new software tools and systems thoroughly and efficiently.
- Lead meetings and contribute to team efforts by ensuring all relevant information is included in the outcomes.
- Implement changes to standard procedures when required by specific situations and circumstances.

Educational/Previous Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A) in a related discipline and a minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience.
- An equivalent combination of experience, education, and/or training.
