The Revenue Assurance Organization

Revenue Assurance Team
Reshaping the future of RA at Verizon calls for improving our ability to deliver outstanding value to our customers. Being a part of the team, you will work alongside financial professionals and business leaders, gaining opportunities to grow and develop to build a strong revenue assurance foundation. You will be involved in audits, audit development, project support, reporting & analysis, and guiding the strategic direction across Verizon. - A subject matter expert representing the team and management by using their knowledge of the overall end-to-end billing landscape/ecosystem to accelerate revenue, reduce revenue loss, and improve customer experience.
- Responsible for identifying risks and gaps between product design and back-end IT system solutions. Recommend solutions that can be audited and re-used. Develop, enhance, or automate traffic audits to improve overall billing accuracy.
- Responsible for leading cross-functional discussions with various business units including GTS, InfoSys, Production Support, FP&A, cost assurance, product, ordering & provisioning, 3rd party vendors, and customer-facing account/service teams.
- Responsible for driving resolution of complex production issues, and financial fallout due to process or system failures, manual touches, gaps in design, lack of guardrails, and/or missed requirements.
- Works complex production and cost to revenue issues by independently conducting root cause analysis, leading the efforts to recover revenue, and define and implement permanent solutions.
- Supports strategic automation efforts. Creates and maintains audits, metrics, projects, and ticket status within SmartSheets or other automation applications.
- Supports projects/new product launches, and testing. Participates/leads all aspects of the project lifecycle including scope definition, ICD (interface control document) reviews, writing requirements and post-implementation testing; driving system and process improvements when needed.
- Communicates with partners in a clear and concise manner.
What we're looking for...
You'll need to have:
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or four or more years of work experience.
- Four or more years of relevant work experience.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
Even better if you have one or more of the following:
- Experience in the technology and/or telecommunications industry.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills and proven ability to focus on the details.
- Proven analytical skills and ability to work with large sets of data.
- Experience with the Smart Sheets or other automation applications.
- Knowledge of Verizon's billing process and flows.
- Familiar with the Agile project processes.

Where you'll be working
In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and a minimum of eight assigned office days per month that will be set by your manager.
