Responsible to set direction for commercial platform portfolio in the Pharmacy Benefit Administration / Management (PBM) healthcare market segment. Focused on ensuring value and achieving ROI goals. Lead product management, product development, delivery and customer success teams for the PBM portfolio. Drive product strategy and execution, ensuring the development of product solutions addressing current and future market needs in conjunction with portfolio vision, healthcare vertical strategy, market, regulatory and technology trends. Build a foundation for future revenue growth and support pricing by aligning offerings with market requirements as well as integrations with other solutions. Collaborate with other product leaders, stakeholders (internal and external) to establish the appropriate delivery and time to market for strategies across the portfolio.
Responsible to understand market and changing market requirements and adjust offerings accordingly. Balance priorities to ensure customer satisfaction, product and revenue growth and achieve portfolio initiatives.
Essential Functions:
- Build the vision for our PBM portfolio. Drive the initial launch and go-to-market product strategy on behalf of Cognizant and our market.
- Drive growth and manage the overall product P&L from end-to-end, with a focus on topline growth while retaining a strong bottom line.
- Lead the PBM Solutions team, including product management, product development, delivery and customer success. Must be willing to take a hands-on approach and get into the weeds.
- Develop a deep understanding and vision on the product and product roadmap to grow the business.
- Partner with SaaS CIO for the production operations of the SaaS product solutions.
- Partner with Sales team to develop a repeatable, predictable, and scalable sales process.
- Develop a deep understanding of the competitive landscape and emerging industry trends to influence and inform product development, pricing, and go-to-market.
- Manage budget, revenue, expenses as they relate to product family P&L
- Develop team goals and metrics that are aligned with portfolio strategy
- Create and execute product strategy and business plans aligned with portfolio strategy to advance products in the market, adopt portfolio standards and processes, and deliver on quality and client satisfaction
- Creation and deliver on the overall product roadmap and release plans for assigned products group.
- Collaboration and negotiation with key product leaders to execute and deliver to the overall strategic roadmap.
- Participation in analyst reviews, white papers, points of view and other thought leadership activities to message and product positioning
- Commercialize new offers and continually review pricing and packaging to ensure proper sales positioning. Sunset offers as appropriate.
- Develop, deliver and participation with clients and prospects in reviewing, presenting and enhancing the product strategy with a focus on client success.
- Demonstrate successful partnership across other product pillars and with portfolio cross-functional teams (e.g. commercialization, product support, customer success, hosting, services BPaaS, Sales and Marketing).
- Ensure product architecture is sound and future-ready, in conjunction with portfolio architecture team and SaaS CIO.
- Participate in sales deals as needed.
- People Manager Responsibilities: Managing assigned staff including hiring, performance and salary management, identifying leaders, terminations (within boundaries defined for the entire group) inclusive of adoption of associate development programs, rewards and retention.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Health or Business Administration or Computer Science, Master's degree preferred.
- An equivalent combination of education and work experience may be taken into consideration in lieu of a degree.
Experience:
- Minimum of ten years related experience, including seven years' operating in senior positions in the healthcare and/or technology marketplace.
- Experience in business to business (B2B) and business to consumer models, preferred.
- Minimum of five years of PBM and product leadership in healthcare or other industry.
- Keen understanding of the healthcare PBM, Pharmacy, payer, employer and ancillary markets, preferred.
- Product and service lifecycle management experience highly preferred.
Technical Competencies:
- Expertise within the healthcare domain and non-health care technology business models.
- Expertise in drawing insights from market trends, distilling complex information into concise messaging and presentation.
- Expertise in packaging, monetization and marketing approaches.
- Expertise in enabling technologies for software solutions.

- Strong understanding of the SaaS sales cycle and service best practices.
- Must show a focus on serving the business to drive healthy business growth.
