Your Responsibilities
To provide claims advocacy representing our construction and design clients. The right candidate will consult with clients on complex construction defect and general liability claims; help clients navigate complex insurance programs; coordinate and ensure claims management within industry best practices and specific client service requirements; and to provide high levels of customer service.
Qualifications
The Construction Claims Consultant will have the following skills sets and be able to:
• perform in depth coverage analysis, investigation, liability and potential exposure analysis
• investigate and resolve coverage disputes
• assist insureds with the development and implementation of resolution strategies of complex construction defect, general liability claims, etc.
• assist as needed with development of client’s claims programs
• have superior written and verbal communication skills
• work with urgency
• highly organized and efficient in a fast-paced multi-tasked environment
• able to prioritize effectively to accomplish objectives with creativity and enthusiasm, and with minimal supervision
• demonstrate high level of understanding of individual state and civil laws, claims practices and regulatory requirements
• proven ability to analyze coverage and draft coverage response letters on complex matters
• strong analytical and organizational skills
• excellent influencing and negotiation skills; proven ability to collaborate and build relationships across teams
• flexibility to travel
• hands-on experience and strong aptitude with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word
• demonstrates accountability, adaptability, service motivation, and respects the differences of others
• knowledge in controlled programs and SDI are a plus.
*Experience with complex general liability construction claims is a must.*
