The Sales Enablement Consultant is focused on providing reporting, insight and direction that improves sales productivity for the organization. This objective is achieved through a strong grasp of pipeline management and tracking sales activity coupled with market insight and forecasting. This role will also have a clear understanding of marketing campaigns and be able to leverage activity for maximum impact contributing to positive product revenue growth.
This position will operate within a fast-paced, matrix style reporting structure (taking direction and receiving assignments from multiple sources) and the main activities and responsibilities of this role may change over time as new key initiatives are implemented.
Job Duties And Responsibilities
Produce data analytics, reporting and insights to sales and marketing division and assigned product teams:
- Produce analytics reports for sales, marketing, and management, locate and analyze sales trends and sales opportunities based on compiled data.
- Update, correct, and maintain the CRM database as necessary to ensure accurate client sales and servicing information (including sales activity notes).
- Responsible for tracking, optimizing and improving the sales process for the sales team supporting key initiatives and accounts.
- Own pipeline management for assigned product areas to monitor and support associated sales, keep internal stakeholders current on revenue objectives.
- Manage sales metrics reporting and system dashboards to include end-to-end reporting on sales process and conversion rates through funnel.
Provide support to assigned sales division to enhance the impact of SEO tools and resources on new opportunities:
- Drive sales usage of Seismic platform though advanced knowledge of functionality supporting sales activity and prospecting in assigned sales region.
- Provide targeted account consultation identifying product opportunities through the analysis of the assigned accounts’ current business model.
- Develop prospecting plans, sales cadences and social media guidance for key initiatives and clear instructions for implementation including 121 support for individual sales representatives as required.
- Mine data for targeted efforts and validate data for use.
- Produce SundaySky videos to demonstrate defined value proposition to specific accounts or prospects based on findings or assigned objectives.
- As required coordinate sales activities and events (such as Lunch & Learns, Roundtables, Sponsorships) including all planning and logistics accountabilities.
- On request provide presentation and proposal support to assigned sales personnel.
Provide coordination and support for Sales and Marketing lead generation campaigns:
- Support successful implementation of campaigns working in close collaboration with Product Marketing Managers and Product teams.
- Interact heavily with the sales team to determine what gaps in available resources exist and the marketing team to ensure published assets and strategies are aligned with current campaign calendar.
- Manage the opportunity life cycle from sales qualified lead to close to ensure proper efficiency of the sales and marketing process.
- Process leads coming in from digital properties, most specifically alliedsolutions.net and track sales activity.
- Define and maintain lead scoring framework for enterprise.
- Present findings and recommendations for improvement to senior management and key stakeholders.
Perform research on clients and competitor/industry practices:
- Responsible for ongoing awareness of products, current events, industry trends and legislation within the credit union, banking, and finance company industries (as well as other adjacent markets) to act as a trusted consultant.
- Produce reports or communications to help educate internal teams on market pressures that might impact prospecting or campaign narratives.
- Collaborate with assigned Product Marketing Managers, Sales Specialists and product teams to adjust sales narratives and prospecting efforts in alignment with industry changes.
- Aid process of updating and managing expired sales and marketing collateral identified through collaboration with sales division, offer suggestions for new pieces based on findings.
- Produce whitespace reports to educate internal teams on missed opportunities and advise on prospecting tactics.
Qualifications (Education, Experience, Certifications & KSA)
- Bachelor’s Degree; or equivalent combination of education and work experience required. Field of Study: Business Administration, Marketing
- Master’s degree preferred
- 5 – 7 years of related experience
- Preferred:
- Proven advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including ability to match data across multiple workbooks/tabs, summarize tables quickly, and other advanced formulas
- Proven moderate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint
- Experience with multiple analytics delivery tools, methods, and platforms such as PowerBI
- Proficiency in using CRM systems, and other sales-related tools
- Familiar with Project Management tools like Smartsheet
- Experience working in a financial services enterprise (e.g. bank, credit union, finance company, insurance company, insurance brokerage or agency, etc.) and knowledge of financial services products and services
- Experience working in a B2B sales environment and understanding of common sales processes and terminology
- Ability to handle complex tasks with a strong sense of urgency. Ability to analyze data and understand trends within the data, reports, and information.
- Must be capable of developing rapport quickly with both internal departments and external sales contacts to achieve sales goals
- Ability to frame conversations strategically and overcome objections through persuasive negotiation and explanation
- Demonstrate a proactive drive and ability to act with limited supervision, with a desire to achieve established goals, key metrics, and set a new standard of performance.
