As the HR Consultant – Compliance, you will be responsible for assisting with DOT substance testing and talent acquisition processes and procedures. Successful candidates will be detail oriented, flexible, have strong written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to maintain confidentiality. This position is eligible for a hybrid schedule and will be located in the Tulsa, OK office.
What You Will Do
- Provide support related to testing and ensure company compliance with equal employment opportunity (EEO) and affirmative action.
- Help interpret policies and practices and make recommendations to ensure company compliance with government laws by coordinating the audit of information and records including:
- Department of Transportation (DOT) drug testing
- Terminations
- Training
- Employment Law
- I-9s
- Background checks and drug testing
Compile, verify, and prepare information and reports including:
- Compliance audits/reporting
- Policies and procedures
- Employee documentation
Provide information, guidance, and support to supervisors, employees, regulatory agencies, ERG partnership, and industry peers on matters including:
- Drug and alcohol testing
- Disciplinary and corrective actions
- Equal employment opportunity and affirmative action
- Annual government requirements and reporting (I-9, EEO-1, VETS4212, etc.)
- Monitor company activities related to EEO and AAP to ensure compliance.
Use computers to analyze, calculate, and generate survey/research statistics; develop related recommendations.Regular and reliable attendance is required in performance of job.Employee may perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
What You Will Need
- Preferred bachelor's degree in human resources or related field, or an equivalent combination of formal education and job-related experience.
- Working knowledge of federal and state regulations relative to DOT drug testing, experience reading, interpreting, and developing equal employment opportunity and affirmative action plans.
- Working knowledge of the use and function of tools and equipment applicable to position including software applications such as Excel, Word, or PowerPoint.
- Working knowledge and application of math and algebraic formulas.
- Experience and training related to:
- DOT drug testing compliance
- Government regulations related to EEO / AAP
- Talent Acquisition compliance
Experience conducting research and analyzing and preparing information and reports including numerical data, training materials, policies, procedures, and correspondence.Experience interacting, directing, and communicating effectively.Experience reading and interpreting manuals, reports, government regulations, training materials, job information, documentation, policies, procedures, and correspondence.Read and write fluently in English.Minimum applicable driver's license. Requires travel to offices and job sites throughout the system.Mobility to travel in and around office surroundings and job sites outdoors.Operate office tools and equipment relevant to position.Communicate and exchange information and instructions verbally. May conduct oral presentations.Visual abilities to perform job responsibilities.
