Vertiv is looking for a Senior Program Manager to support Operations Strategy in Westerville, OH. This person will plan, direct, and coordinate activities to drive Vertiv’s Global Operations Strategic projects & 3–5-year Operations Roadmap planning. This position will focus on global manufacturing & operations initiatives, including but not limited to operational excellence, end to end process improvement, large scale capex deployment to support long term manufacturing capacity growth & key customer accounts (GSAs) needing customized solutions & deployment timing of our product portfolio. This position has full responsibility and ownership for ensuring the goals and objectives of projects are accomplished within the prescribed time frame and profitability by performing the following duties utilizing project management practices and philosophy.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop overall project management plans including scope, schedule, staffing plan, and budget.
- Review of project charter, business case and requirements to establish the execution methodology and resource needs to successfully execute the project in the allotted time frame and funding.
- Interface with executive stakeholders on status and drive closure to key constraints as they arise during the project timeline.
- Direct and coordinate activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget.
- Coordinate project activities across Vertiv teams, track progress, and work with executives to ensure timely completion of milestones.
- Identify potential risks and issues and develop mitigation strategies to keep projects on track.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope, goals, and deliverables.
- Facilitate effective communication among team members, stakeholders, and executives.
- Establish objectives and success criteria for the project in an inclusive collaborative manner with all stakeholders.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, or related field AND 10+ years work experience in program management, process management, process improvement supporting Manufacturing Operations programs. OR equivalent experience in a Global Manufacturing project management role supporting large scale Capex deployment programs.
- PMP Certification preferred.
- Global scope – Focused on Manufacturing Operations & Capacity/Capex deployment.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with an ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Proficient with MS Word, Project, Excel, Power Point, and other project management software and applications.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and guide cross-functional teams.
- Analytical mindset with the capability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Adaptability to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
- Relevant certifications such as PMP, Six Sigma, or Lean Management are a plus.
