Position Overview: We are seeking a talented and experienced Financial Management Consultant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 4-6 years of experience in financial management, accounting, budget management, audit, internal controls, and federal consulting. A secret clearance is a plus, but not required. This role involves working closely with clients to analyze, develop, and implement effective financial strategies and solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
· Provide expert financial management consulting services to federal clients.
· Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial models to support strategic decision-making.
· Conduct thorough financial analysis and prepare detailed reports on financial performance.
· Perform audits and assessments of internal controls to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices.
· Identify and mitigate financial risks through effective internal controls and risk management strategies.
· Collaborate with clients to understand their financial needs and develop tailored solutions.
· Assist in the preparation and review of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
· Support the implementation of financial management systems and processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
· Stay current with industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in financial management and federal consulting.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. A master’s degree or relevant certification (e.g., CPA, CMA, CGFM) is a plus.
· 4-6 years of experience in financial management, accounting, budget management, audit, and internal controls.
· Proven experience in federal consulting, with a strong understanding of federal financial management regulations and practices.
· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective client relationships.
· Proficiency in financial management software and tools, such as Excel, SAP, Oracle, or similar systems.
· Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and integrity in financial reporting.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
· Secret clearance is a nice-to-have but not required.
