THE OPPORTUNITY
The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) is a valuable member of our team who coordinates day-to-day operations and supports core benefits administration, including medical, dental, vision, flexible spending, COBRA, and 401(k) plans. The HRBP assists Schusterman team members with questions, coordinates reimbursement and invoice processing, and assists with company event planning. The HRBP will collaborate with members of the Talent and Human Resources team, insurance brokers, and other stakeholders in service of a high-quality benefits operation that supports all team members and contributes to an inclusive and positive work environment.
Who you will work with
The HRBP works under the supervision of the Manager, Human Resources, and closely with our Human Resources Team, and supports team members across the organization.
Where and how you will work
Schusterman employees work a weekly hybrid schedule with a mix of in-office time and work-from-home flexibility. For this role, you’ll need to be based in Tulsa, OK. This is a full-time position. Please note that Schusterman does not cover relocation expenses for this position.
WHAT YOU WILL DO (RESPONSIBILITIES)
Core Benefits Administration (60%)
- Work with benefits broker to support employee benefit lifecycle
- Support COBRA administration
- Administer Flexible Spending Account (FSA)
- Support 401k administration
Additional Benefits Administration (30%)
- Serve as liaison to answer employee benefits questions
- Track and facilitate reimbursement process
- Administer charitable giving program
Administrative Duties (10%)
- Support Human Resources team as needed, with opportunities to take on special projects
- Process invoices
- Support event planning and schedule meetings

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

Required Skills and Qualifications
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in human resources and administering core benefits, including medical, dental, vision, flexible spending, COBRA, and 401(k) plans.
- Understanding of compliance with laws and regulations related to employee core benefits.
- Experience assisting with annual benefits open enrollment processes.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills, ability to multi-task and strong attention to detail.
- Resourcefulness to work independently and manage workflow with a high level of accuracy.
- Demonstrated ability to work with highly sensitive, confidential information and to exercise discretion and tact in difficult or confidential situations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills necessary to develop effective working relationships, provide timely, responsive support, and exhibit empathy in interactions with team members at all levels across Schusterman.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience also using Microsoft Teams SharePoint highly desired.
Desired Skills and Qualifications
- Experience with UKG, Culture Amp or other HR platforms.
- Experience with processing invoices and reimbursement requests for additional benefit programs.
- Understanding of when to coordinate and escalate issues with benefits broker for assistance.
- Experience in event planning to support planning and coordinating employee events, with the flexibility to work outside of normal business hours to support event set-up and wrap-up (estimated 4-5 events per year)
- Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS OF WORKING AT SCHUSTERMAN
This role features a competitive hiring range of $80,000-$92,500 based on experience and Schusterman’s commitment to internal equity.
