Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support with high degree of Customer Happiness by meeting SLA & MTTR
- Following Standard Operating Procedures for BAU support and maintain all applicable Servers
- Isolating, troubleshooting, escalating, correcting and documenting activities/any/all problems or technical issues within the Server/OS/HW Infrastructure
- Participate in On-Call and NOC duties on periodic basis
- Maintaining skills to the current industry level of certification
- Analyzing technical problems and creating solutions involving the use of existing techniques and/or tools
- Performing assigned tasks in accordance with established standards and guidelines
- Preparing and recommending technical alternatives involving technology, methodology, tools, processes and solution components
- Challenging the validity of given procedures and processes with the intent to enhance and improve a customer solution
- Assisting in the identification automation opportunities
- Abiding by Incident and Change Management procedures, including complying with the Service Level Agreements as documented in the Problem Severity matrix
- Identification of automation opportunities for daily operations & implement it with various technology stack
- Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives.
Required Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 7+ years of experience in an enterprise server environment with Linux system administration & bash scripting
- Bash scripting: Working experience of nested loops (for, while, if/else statement) & functions
- Intermediate knowledge on VMware administration like vmotion, snapshots & resource administration from Vcenter administration
- In-depth knowledge and experience with user administration, performance troubleshooting, filesystem administration, disk management & network administration in Linux
- Good knowledge about SAN concepts, setting up, multi-pathing (device mapper) & troubleshooting SAN issues from the Linux OS side
- Knowledge about various user authentication methods like AD, LDAP & NIS
- Azure basic knowledge or working exposure
- Good hold on various services of Linux like NTP, SSH, NFS, DNS, FTP, Sendmail
- Proficient in HP, IBM & Dell Servers and Hardware Troubleshooting
Preferred Qualification:
- Certification on RHCE & Red Hat Enterprise Linux Diagnostics and Troubleshooting & Red Hat Performance Tuning: Linux in Physical, Virtual, and Cloud
