Job Summary and Qualifications
The Consulting Product Analyst is responsible for the development lifecycle, from discovery to implementation, as they work with project team members to define and clarify requirements, design and implement the functional solution, and ensure the solution meets the intended goals. The Product Analyst supports the business owners in matters related to application enhancements and support. The Product Analyst is considered to be one of the subject matter experts and liaison between Application Services, the business, and other IT teams.
In this role you will:
- Support application configuration: filters, jobs, rules, etc.
- Create Functional and Technical Requirements.
- Act as Scrum Master.
- Develop Test Plan. Create Test Cases and help lead QA Testing.
- Create and modify SQL Stored Procedures, Views, Tables, and Indexes for more complex processes and integrations.
- Write queries and perform data analysis using SQL, Excel, and other data analytics tools.
- Seek out and deliver on opportunities for automation and process improvements.
- Build and support interfaces with vendors.
- Perform Daily Health Checks (DHC) to ensure all jobs execute successfully, along with troubleshooting and preventing repeated issues.
- Analyze and troubleshoot application and server log files in a JBoss, Apache, Java environment.
- Conduct performance monitoring, tuning, and capacity planning for day-to-day needs, along with major initiatives such as application upgrades, hardware upgrades, and large-scale projects.
- Lead technical calls and discussions, business meetings, internal training sessions, scrum calls, change controls, and projects.
- Conduct after-hours work such as server patching checkout, on-call rotation, and changes that must be performed outside business hours.
- Follow standard processes such as ticket management and change control.
- Create and maintain application documentation, including workflows, knowledge base articles, ISAM, backup, and recovery policies and procedures.
- Identify product gaps and lead enhancement efforts.
- Identify and evaluate industry trends in new related systems and technologies.
- Support annual audit reviews (e.g., internal & external audit for application and change control, PCI, SAS70 reviews, Sarbanes Oxley, HIPAA), along with supporting and meeting SLAs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Must have strong analytical, problem-solving, and diagnosis skills.
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Possess an aptitude for leading the diagnosis and resolution of performance problems within a large-scale, complex infrastructure.
- Demonstrate personal ownership of tasks and follow-through to get the required results in the established timeframe.
- Must have strong documentation and organization skills and the ability to interact with team members cross-functionally.
- Independent, innovative, creative, self-managing individual who can perform with only general directions.
- Experience with cloud technologies such as Azure or Cosmos preferred.
- Thorough understanding of critical IT processes such as Project Lifecycles & SDLC and working knowledge of scrum and agile project delivery methodologies.
