The opportunity
Our PAS Mobility practice provides services to manage the cost and risks involved in HR plans, programs, and systems related to a global workforce. As a Tax Manager, you'll be providing strategic tax planning recommendations to clients. You'll have the opportunity to work with global clients to address their most complex people challenges and ultimately improve and drive sustainable business results.
Your key responsibilities
- Provide individual tax planning, compliance services, and advice on tax implications related to the mobility of employees as well as corporate and employment tax planning.
- Engaged in complex compliance and advisory work; completing tax returns, reviewing/signing off, writing correspondence, providing authoritative advice/guidance, and reviewing tax cost estimates.
- Directly engaging clients and providing results through questioning and negotiation.
Key attributes for success
- Successful delivery of Mobility (Expatriate) Tax projects with technical excellence.
- Provide quality US tax returns and overseas tax filings; preparing/reviewing calculations.
- Generate revenue through identifying follow-on engagement opportunities and developing lasting relationships with clients.
- Lead workstreams from planning to implementation, managing resources and budgets effectively.
- Develop understanding of expatriate tax issues, trends, and tools.
- Manage, coach, and develop junior resources and peers.
To qualify for the role you must have
- A bachelor's degree in a related field; MST, MAcc, or JD/LLM preferred.
- 5+ years relevant experience in expatriate tax.
- US Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license or active state bar membership.
- An understanding of automated tax-processing systems and tax laws.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Analytical approach to tax.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
