Our greatest asset has been, and will continue to be, our people. We are looking for an experienced and motivated individual to fill the position of Eng Advisor Process in our US Onshore Resources & Carbon Management (ORCM), Ops Prod F&C, Process Engineering Team based in Houston, TX.
Responsibilities:
- Lead facilities projects during Feasibility, Conceptual, Pre-FEED, FEED, and detailed engineering stage
- Participate in project start up and commissioning related activities
- Support Project Execution Manager throughout the execution stage
- Provide engineering assistance to troubleshoot process operating issues
- Oversee pilot projects / special tests and develop supporting reports
- Analyze projects designs and develop innovative solutions to improve economics and maximize return
- Perform process simulations for gas plants and field facilities
- Perform CO2e emission estimates for ORCM operations and develop lower carbon intensity solutions
- Perform hydraulic analysis of pipeline networks
- Perform sizing and/or rating of equipment
- Perform high level cost and schedule estimates
- Support the economic analysis of projects
- Support Process Safety and Risk Management Studies
- Provide information to support groups (Electrical/Automation/IT/Planning) to implement entire project design
- Support development of facilities standards and design guidelines that will benefit the entire organization
- Support management of contract engineering services
- Support mentoring of Asset team Facilities Engineers
Education:
- BS in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering
Travel:
Professional/Technical Knowledge:
- 8+ years of process engineering experience preferred
- Strong analytical/problem solving skills.
- Expertise in Process Thermodynamic Simulation Software such as ProMax and Aspen HYSYS
- Proficient in Dynamic Simulation Software: Aspen HYSYS Dynamics
- Expertise in Hydraulic/Fluid Dynamic Simulation Software such as PipeSim, PipePhase, Aspen Flare Net
- High proficiency in Microsoft Applications (such as Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint and Outlook)
- Experience with gas processing plants is preferred
- High level communication skills with Customer focus
- Expertise in project management principles including estimating, scheduling, and implementation
- Familiar with Project Risk Analysis like PDRI or Montecarlo
- Knowledge of pipelines and surface equipment design principles
- OSHA Process Safety Management elements and typical safety program requirements (including HAZOPs and Risk Analysis, Management of Change, PSSR)
- Knowledgeable in Industry standards (ASME, API, PIP, NACE)
- Basic understanding of automation and electrical design principles
