The Human Resources (HR) team at Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a Human Resources Business Partner 1/2 to join a growing community of committed HR professionals at our facility located in the Baltimore, MD . Our HR community is composed of incredible people with different abilities, diverse thinking and varied backgrounds who find professional fulfillment in understanding and advocating for employees, supporting the coaching and development of the management team, and solving organizational challenges through our partnership with business leadership. The selected candidate will be welcomed into a team aligned to support a diverse employee workforce of varying levels. The selected candidate will join a team supporting the Mission Systems Manufacturing Airborne Multifunction Sensors Organization.
Job responsibilities will include, but not limited to:
Supporting the business with HR related project work around employee data management, assimilation, talent planning, retention, diversity, etc.
Assisting in creating and providing input on talent strategies, creation of content and materials for use by stakeholders in the business and within the HR team
Assisting in identifying organizational needs and creating practical, creative/innovative, data-driven solutions to increase team and organizational performance and advance the business strategy
Creating, compiling and analyzing metrics and reports and creating presentations to visually display results.
Organizing, prioritizing, planning, scheduling, and executing Business Unit projects and initiatives.
This role may be filled at either a level 1 or level 2 depending on experience.
Basic Qualifications Level 1:
Bachelor's degree business, Human Resource management, Organization Development, Industrial Organizational Psychology, or closely related.
Understanding and application of HR principles, concepts, policies and practices.
Proficient verbal and written communication skills, with demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with and influence others.
Proficient in Microsoft office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)•Proven ability to support cross-functional projects to completion including organizing, planning, scheduling and following up on project related items.
Basic Qualifications Level 2:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resource Management, Organization Development, Industrial Organizational Psychology, or closely related and 3 years of experience in HR or 1 or more years of related experience with Master’s degree.
Understanding and application of HR principles, concepts, policies and practices.
Proficient verbal and written communication skills, with demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with and influence others.
Proficient in Microsoft office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)•Proven ability to support cross-functional projects to completion including organizing, planning, scheduling and following up on project related items.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous classroom or internship experience in Human Resources, Talent Acquisition or related discipline.
Self-motivated, willing to learn, and interested in working in a team environment.
Salary Range: $56,900 - $85,300
Salary Range 2: $68,800 - $103,200
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
