Your Role
Shift and Hours: Swing Shift – 11:00am to 7:30pm
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday
This is a hands-on position with a heavy emphasis on leading the activities that relate to inventory management. The successful candidate must be proficient using computer software and be able to perform cycle counts.
What You’ll Be Doing
Essential Functions:
- Handle all aspects of inventory movement of materials and tools, including stocking, re-stocking, and accounting for every item in the warehouse.
- Compile and maintain records of the quantity, type, and value of the inventory on hand.
- Participate in monthly and year-end inventory cycle counts, and inventory reconciliation issues.
- Coordinate inventory requirements and procurement details with the Division’s General Manager.
- Track the transportation and distribution of tool and material inventory.
- Oversee the records of all stocks and compile evaluation reports. Daily auditing of inventory is also a task for the inventory specialist.
- Coordinate inventory requirements and procurement details with vendors and customers.
- Participate in the inventory cycle counting.
- Account and report inventory surplus, product/tool returns, variances, and any damages.
- Maintain and oversee the records of all stocks and compile reports as needed.
- Conduct audits of inventory.
- Ensure all employees and visitors entering the warehouse are wearing the proper safety equipment and security badges at all times.
- Work in conjunction with all staff to ensure readiness for any inspection or audit.
What We’d Like to See from You
Required:
- Demonstrated knowledge of inventory management and quality management.
- Computer proficient in Microsoft Office, i.e., Excel, Word, etc.
- Excellent communications skills (written, verbal & listening) and interpersonal skills needed in order to interface with and influence all levels of personnel.
- Ability to work Monday through Friday assigned schedule, with occasional required weekends and overtime.
- Must have strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize daily work and meet all internal and external deadlines.
- Ability to push and pull up to 75 pounds and lift up to 50 pounds.
Highly Desired:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in transportation, warehousing, and/or distribution environment.
- Experience using ERP’s, such as Sage, Oracle, SAP, NetSuite, etc.
- Experience using a forklift and pallet jacks.
- Prior Forklift Certification with ability to be recertified.
