Job Title: Inventory Control Coordinator
Job Description
The Inventory Control Coordinator is responsible for comparing and reconciling physical inventory counts to those maintained in the inventory system every period. This role involves reconciling physical and financial inventories, monitoring inventory performance, and identifying variances. The coordinator will also count finished goods, packaging, or ingredients monthly and ensure accurate inventory accountability through system maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Reconcile physical and financial inventories, monitoring for variances.
- Count finished goods, packaging, or ingredients monthly.
- Minimize and track breakage to keep inventory variance below targets.
- Complete necessary system maintenance for accurate inventory accountability.
- Finalize all required cycle count documentation with appropriate signatures.
- Review, reconcile, and process retail claims and bill as needed.
- Assist with product shipment billings in M3 for the warehouse.
- Compile the weekly plant shipment delivery log.
- Ensure all sales orders are completed in M3 and address inventory discrepancies with the buyer.
- Process inventory adjustments.
- Complete inventory processes for each monthly cycle count and period close.
- Handle inquiries from customers, carriers, and corporate traffic.
- Assist with general office duties.
- Work weekends during period close week or as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in data entry and data analysis.
- Detail-oriented with high accuracy in counting, problem-solving abilities, math, and analytical skills.
- Proficient with 10-key calculators.
- Strong attention to detail and follow-through skills.
- Well-organized, flexible, and able to handle multiple assignments with minimal direct supervision.
- Strong communication skills with a customer service focus.
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with cycle counting and inventory.
- Ability to stand for long periods, walk to various locations in the warehouse, move rapidly, bend, stoop, and twist frequently.
- Manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination.
- Some lifting of product cases required.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with SAP, RF scan guns, warehouse inventory, and logistics.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Experience with storage and labeling.
- Ability to work with varying temperatures in the warehouse.
This position is based in a milk plant, working within a fun and diverse team. The warehouse environment may have varying temperatures, and the role requires physical activity, including standing for long periods, walking, and lifting product cases.
