Provider Practice Consultant (OB / Maternity) JR129816
Location: Must reside within 50 miles and 1 hr commute of our Topeka, Kansas or Overland Park, Kansas location.
Travel: This role will involve travel within the state of Kansas to meet with provider practices. Providers that are > than 100 miles will require virtual presentations. (Mileage is reimbursable.)
The OB Practice Consultant is responsible for creating a partnership relationship with providers and key Health Plan leads to support initiatives and ensure our members receive a fully integrated and accountable system of care.
How you will make an impact:
- Assess current practice patterns, assets, and challenges utilizing NCQA Standards, HEDIS audits, site reviews, and medical records reviews.
- In partnership with the OB provider, evaluate the results of the initial assessment.
- Establish a project plan with the practice that establishes goals and objectives for improvement.
- Provide ongoing practice support and sustain the partnership.
- Establish regular meetings to track progress.
- Improve the understanding and sensitivity to the unique needs of this population and the caregivers.
- Ensure OB providers are offering evidenced-based care to members and driving quality improvement.
Minimum Requirements:
- Requires AS in nursing and minimum of 5 years of managed care experience and minimum of 2 years of clinical experience and minimum of 2 years of professional presentations to small and large audiences; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
- Current, unrestricted (RN, NP, or PA) clinical license in the state of Kansas required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- BSN in nursing.
- Managed care experience.
- 2 years combination of OB/GYN, Mother/Baby, L & D clinical experience.
- Outpatient/Clinic experience preferred.
- Travel within the state of Kansas up to 20%.
