Acorn Distributors is seeking a motivated, self-driven, competitive individual as a Sales Consultant to increase new account sales and grow existing account business. As a Sales Consultant, you will identify new opportunities and follow up on potential leads utilizing a strategic sales process.
Responsibilities:
- You will act as a hunter and farmer of accounts, consistently increasing your book of business and building on the relationships made with maintenance supervisors, foremen, purchasing, owners, etc.
- You will develop sales strategies to meet customer’s needs.
- You will conduct presentations to new and existing customers.
- You will capture the interest of new customers by demonstrating our high-quality products after receiving hands-on training on our top selling items.
- You will research new business opportunities using social media, web, and regional industry-related media.
- You will achieve sales objectives on a plan for success designed specifically for you.
- You will work hand-in-hand with full support from the internal staff to go above and beyond the customers’ expectations.
- You will enjoy the freedom of managing your time and working independently, including developing your own route and schedule.
- You will exhibit detailed product knowledge when assessing customers’ needs and offering solutions from our catalog of over 6,000 products.
- You will work with our vendor partners to continually learn their product line and present to customers together.
- You will negotiate agreements and oversee new account installations.
- You will attend monthly sales meetings.
Minimum Requirements:
- High level of motivation.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and time management skills.
- The ability to establish and maintain network groups.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs including Word and Excel.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Sales Management, Food Service or other related field preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
