Responsibilities
Peraton is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Signal Analysis to join our aviation program. This role is crucial for the operation, monitoring, and management of payload systems on aviation platforms, ensuring successful mission execution. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in payload operations, data collection, and aviation systems.
Examples of duties include but not limited to:
- Operate and manage various payload systems onboard aviation platforms, including sensors, communication devices, and specialized equipment.
- Monitor and analyze payload data in real-time to provide critical information and support mission objectives.
- Collaborate with flight crews and mission planners to ensure effective integration of payload systems into overall mission strategies.
- Conduct pre-flight inspections and system checks to verify the functionality and readiness of payload equipment.
- Maintain detailed logs of payload operations, data collected, and system performance during missions.
- Assist in the development and refinement of payload operation procedures and protocols to enhance mission effectiveness.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for payload systems during operations, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Participate in post-mission debriefings to evaluate payload performance and provide feedback for continuous improvement.
Qualifications
Required Skills:
- Strong understanding of payload systems, data collection methodologies, and aviation operations.
- Proficiency in using specialized software and tools for data analysis and payload management.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make decisions in fast-paced environments.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey information to team members and stakeholders.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt to changing mission requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with specific payload systems relevant to the program (e.g., SIGINT).
- Military or government experience in operational environments.
- Relevant certifications or training in payload operations or aviation systems.
Experience and Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Aviation Technology, or a related field; equivalent experience will be considered.
- Minimum of 12 years of experience in payload operations, preferably in aviation or military platforms and equipment.

Target Salary Range
$135,000 - $216,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
