Position Summary:
Performs CT scans on patients and assists in needle CT-guided biopsies. Position does not require constant supervision of technical detail. Technologist must be conscientious of patient history and have good communication skills with the radiologist.
Obtains patient history, explains standard procedures, and addresses patient concerns. Produces computerized tomographic scanner radiographs of specific areas as required by departmental procedures. Performs obstetric and gynecological scans, ultrasound techniques and examinations, abdominal scans, retroperitoneal scans, and radiation therapy localization. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks under general supervision. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.

Years of Related Experience:
- Minimum: 0-1
- Preferred: 2-4
Licensure/Certification/Education (Required):
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) OR Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB)
- Current/Active Florida Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT)
- Education: Technical School/2 Years College/Associates Degree
