ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

- Implement effective strategies for pricing and distributing risks through the team.

- Participate with superintendent, estimators, and other project team members in preconstruction efforts.
- Lead effective pre-planning efforts to ensure all aspects of the project are addressed prior to mobilization and throughout the construction process.
- Review, monitor, and manage project budget, construction costs, change management, and other financials.
- In partnership with superintendent, establish key project milestones through effective schedule management.
- Ensure full implementation of company safety, risk management, environmental and stormwater programs.
- Lead GH Phipps’ QA/QC program and support it through consistent focus on quality control.
- Complete closeout efforts in a timely manner, properly archive project information per company procedure.
- Proactively manage disputes and claims to ensure timely and fair issue resolution.
- Ensure a safe work environment by modeling safe work behaviors, supporting and communicating safe work standards/practices, and holding all internal and external project team members accountable for compliance.
- Mentor and train direct reports through regular communication.
- Develop competencies and skill sets via active engagement in the performance management process, employee development, and problem solving.
- Travel to jobsites, meetings, and client locations as needed in support of employees, clients, project team, etc.
- Assist with miscellaneous department duties and team initiatives as needed.
- Participate in business and industry associations and opportunities to drive public awareness of our brand.
- Actively develop and maintain positive relationships with key past and present clients, architects, and developers.
- Consistently bring in leads and new opportunities from existing clients where possible.
- Ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty for future projects.
- Actively participate in RFPs and RFQs for work acquisition.
- Use safety equipment as prescribed by the company to ensure safety on the job site.
- As a safety-sensitive position, complete adherence to alcohol and drug use policies set by the company.
- In-person, predictable attendance at assigned location.
Project Manager/Estimator oversees all aspects of project delivery including business development, estimating, and project management duties. A minimum of five (5) years of general commercial construction experience required.
Project Manager provides leadership and guidance to the construction team and assumes overall responsibility for the successful completion of assigned projects within allotted time and budget. Coordinates work efforts during preconstruction, estimating, contract buyout, construction, and closeout phases of the project. A minimum of seven (7) years of general commercial construction experience that includes market sectors of K-12, Higher Ed, Healthcare, and general commercial construction required.
Sr. Project Manager provides leadership and guidance to the construction team and assumes overall responsibility for the successful completion of assigned projects within allotted time and budget. Additional duties include cost forecasting, owner change order preparation and negotiation, and owner/subcontractor management. A minimum of ten (10) years of general commercial construction experience that includes large-scale projects ranging from $40 million to $100 million in market sectors of K-12, Higher Ed, Healthcare, and general commercial construction required.
EDUCATION
Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, construction management, or related field required.
EXPERIENCE
Minimum of five (5) years of general commercial construction experience required.
SKILLS
- Proficient in CMiC.
- Proficient in Bluebeam.
- Proficient in Microsoft products (Navisworks, Office Suite – Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Ability to read project schedules in Primavera P6.
PREFERRED CERTIFICATION & LICENSURES
- OSHA 30 Certification.
- WELL AP Certification.
- LEED accreditation.
SALARY RANGE: $86,000 - $150,000 annually; actual salary based on experience and qualifications.
