Practice Highlights
The clinical team of four veterinarians you will join is highly experienced and ultra collaborative. We are supported by a team of 18 technicians, assistants, and customer service representatives.
Our fast-growing practice has been independently owned for 21 years.
Our modern facility boasts 5 exam rooms, a large treatment space, a dental suite, a large 2-table surgery suite, and all the modern equipment you need to practice excellent veterinary medicine, including ultrasound, DR radiology unit, Class IV therapeutic laser, in-house lab (Idexx), outside lab (Antech), and more.
We are a primary care practice but see a large number of urgent care cases on a daily basis.
We work with local emergency/referral hospitals for hospitalization and advanced specialty care.
About the Opportunity
We are looking to hire an Associate Veterinarian as an additional doctor for the Valley Animal Hospital team. We have been experiencing steady growth. About You
You are a practicing veterinarian, licensed and in good standing with the State of Oregon. Additionally, you are committed to practicing high-quality evidence-based medicine/surgery and consider yourself a lifetime learner. If you have specific clinical interest, that is wonderful; we are always looking to expand the spectrum of services the hospital is able to offer to its clients. You are patient with pet owners, especially the stressed-out ones, and generally have a sunny disposition in the exam room and treatment areas. Our team is very collaborative, so if you naturally like to teach others, that is excellent, too. In terms of your clinical experience, we are flexible: new grads are welcome as are seasoned veterans of the profession.

The full-time staff currently consists of our 4 veterinarians, 2 full-time certified technicians, 11 veterinary assistants, and 5 CSRs. We have curated a team that is hard-working, collaborative, and always learning. Additionally, the high percentage of full-time team members ensures continuity and collaboration that few other practices can offer.
About the Practice
For 21 years, Valley Animal Hospital, an independently owned practice, has served the needs of pet owners and their dogs and cats. The modern, well-equipped 4900 sq ft hospital features plenty of treatment space, 5 exam rooms, a large sunny surgery suite and a dental suite. We make every effort to invest in our clinical capabilities and would be delighted to add to our service offerings if you possess unique skills. From a workflow perspective we operate on 30 minute appointment blocks. Our Full-time DVMs work 4 days a week. We are not open any weekends, and are never on-call. We have excellent emergency and specialty hospitals in a nearby town.
We are located in spectacular Grants Pass, Oregon, a town of about 38,000 and are within a short drive to mountains, the ocean, and anything in between. The incredible Rogue River, a world-class fly-fishing destination, runs right through downtown. If you love hiking, skiing, fishing, Shakespeare, and live music, you will find your home here. We also have top hospital and medical care facilities, as well as an excellent school system.
