Help us make a difference to people with life-limiting illnesses…
At The Myton Hospices, we provide specialist care and support for people with life-limiting illnesses, and their loved ones, from the point of diagnosis to end of life. We are a much-loved and well-supported charity, at the heart of our community. We have three hospices, a range of community services, and 25 charity shops in Coventry and Warwickshire.
About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse to join our team in our specialist palliative care inpatient unit in Warwick. The role will predominantly cover night shifts; however, you will be required to work some day shifts during your initial training and on an ad-hoc basis, as required.
Our Registered Nurses:
- Deliver high quality, evidence-based palliative care
- Assess, plan, implement and evaluate programmes of patient care
- Work in a multi-disciplinary team with doctors and other healthcare professionals
- Act as a mentor for junior staff and students
This role will help our patients and their loved ones to get on top of difficult symptoms, deal with any physical pain, and reduce emotional distress.
We provide an in-house training programme to support your professional development, including progression opportunities.
About you
We would love to hear from Registered Nurses with:
- NMC registration
- The right to work in the UK (we cannot support with sponsorship)
Previous experience of working in a specialist palliative care setting is not required, as full support will be given to develop your knowledge and skills.
This is a nursing role, so it will require an enhanced DBS check, including the adults’ barred list.
We are committed to building an inclusive workplace and encourage everyone to bring their true selves to work. However you identify, and whatever background you bring with you, we welcome you to apply. If there are any adjustments that would help improve your experience with Myton, we encourage you to share this with us.
We particularly welcome applications from people with disabilities and from ethnic minorities, who are currently under-represented in our hospices. We also believe our interview process should be inclusive and transparent. If there is anything missing, or a way we can improve, please do let us know.
