Offering $25 - $45 per hour
This employee administers respiratory therapy care to long term care residents with abnormalities and deficiencies of the cardiopulmonary system according to physician prescription.
Job Responsibilities:
- Review prescription and patient information to assess patient condition and determine requirements for treatment.
- Determine suitable treatment administration and modifications that may be needed, compatible with physician orders.
- Set up and operate devices including mechanical ventilators, nebulizers, and/or compressors.
- Operate equipment to ensure specified parameters of treatment such as volume, oxygen concentration, and/or temperature.
- Monitor patient response to therapy via vital sign and blood chemistry changes.
- Observe equipment function and adjust equipment to obtain optimal results.
- Consult with physician in event of adverse reaction.
- Inspect and test respiratory therapy equipment to ensure it is functioning safely and efficiently.
- Order repairs when needed.
- Demonstrate respiratory care procedures to trainees.
- Perform staff education at customer facilities.
- Perform tracheostomy tube changes.
Hours: 10am to 7pm Daily with some weekends on call.
