About the role
As an Associate Therapist, you will play a front-line role for a supportive and client-focused organization. Our small caseloads for more personalized care and innovative approaches allow you to meet the client's needs in a community setting. We have set meeting times and guaranteed administrative time to complete documentation and notes.
As a Therapist, you will play a critical role in clinical care, ensuring the highest standards of care are maintained. This role requires a high level of empathy, the ability to set boundaries, and the desire to work on a multidisciplinary team committed to supporting individuals.
What you'll do
- Client Care
- Provide individualized treatment plans that include a combination of individual and group therapy, and other evidence-based practices.
- Develop strong client rapport for long-term relationships.
- Develop realistic treatment goals with clients in accordance with ethical and legal protocols.
- Motivate clients to actively participate in their own recovery and treatment process, assisting them with learning skills and gaining knowledge to improve their lives.
- Provide therapy to individuals, families, and groups, adapting to the evolving needs of the clients.
- Documentation and Compliance
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and treatment plans, ensuring they are compliant with state and federal standards.
- Maintain confidentiality of records.

- Attend and participate in clinical and community meetings.
- Maintain a culture of care conducive to clients and staff.
- Provide and receive constructive criticism.
- Collaborate with other staff members (psychiatrists, nurses, case managers, clinicians) to perform clinical assessments and ensure comprehensive treatment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and Master's degree from an accredited school in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or related field.
- Certificates & Licenses: AMFT, ACSW, APCC.
- Previous experience working in outpatient, inpatient, detox, or residential treatment centers focused on dual diagnosis, mental health, addiction, or substance use.
- A strong desire to grow your skills and work with a team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office, KIPU or other EMR systems).
- Familiarity with substance treatment industry: 12-step terminology, MAT, CBT, DBT, motivational interviewing, transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS), etc.
- Ideal candidates would bring a specialty to the clinical team.
- Negative TB test within the past year.
- Ability to pass pre-employment and/or random drug screenings.
The pay range for this role is:
61,000 - 71,000 USD per year (The Edge Treatment Center)
