Job Description
The Occupational Health Nurse performs new and annual health screening and follow-up of work-related illnesses and injuries, ensures compliance with regulatory agencies, both federal and state, and collaborates with Infection Control and the facility Safety Committee to ensure a safe working environment.
Responsibilities
- Assess and treat minor injuries and illnesses and counsel employees, volunteers, and students on safety and health issues.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory agencies.
- Collaborate with Infection Control and the facility Safety Committee.
Minimum Requirements
- Valid AL RN license, BSN preferred.
- Prior experience in Occupational health preferred.
- Three to five years hospital-based experience required.
- Work is continuously physically and frequently emotionally demanding. Must be able to communicate professionally, both verbally and in writing.
- Must be able to cope with stressful situations.
