We are seeking an Pharmaceutical API - Senior Project Manager to join our dynamic and growing team in Coventry, RI.
Position Summary:
You will partner with Pharmaron leadership and delivery teams to lead project and program planning and execution across various functions, driving projects and programs to achieve mission-critical outcomes for our pharmaceutical API industry clients. For each new project, you will leverage the continual exposure and experiences from working with a variety of clients and project types.
Principal Duties:
- Coordinate with technical area leads to respond to potential client RFI's and RFP's, developing competitive proposals with realistic project scheduling and resource loading.
- Lead CDMO Pharmaceutical API projects and programs in the pharmaceutical API industry including early clinical phase through commercialization and product lifecycle management.
- Manage projects within established scope, schedule, and budget while exceeding Pharmaron project management standards and client expectations.
- Develop and drive integrated project plans, aligning project tactics with project strategy.
- Develop and document high-level strategies for accomplishing specific project objectives.
- Establish, maintain, and lead high-performance project teams, serving as the project advocate for Pharmaron and its clients.
- Provide Project Management support services to key site CAPEX projects as assigned.
- Lead business process development and optimization, focusing on functional project and portfolio management capabilities.
Required Education and Experience:
The successful candidate for this position should have the following skills and experience:
- A Bachelor's degree in a science or engineering discipline or relatable field. Advanced degrees in science, engineering, or business are a plus.
- Minimum 7+ years of industry experience in the pharmaceutical API industry is essential. Experience in a CDMO is a plus.
- 3+ years of project management experience is essential.
- Knowledge and application of a disciplined project management process (Project Management Professional certification is a plus).
- Exceptional interpersonal and leadership skills to effectively communicate and build relationships with a broad spectrum of audiences at all organizational levels.
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to new situations and learn quickly.
