Novant Health is seeking a Radiation Therapist. The Staff Radiation Therapist is responsible for providing radiation therapy to patients in accordance with the prescription and instructions of the Radiation Oncologist. Works collaboratively with other members of healthcare team

Qualifications
- Education: High School or GED, required.
- Experience: One to two years of applicable experience, preferred.
- Licensure/Certification: ARRT in Radiation Oncology, required.
- Additional skills required: Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing.

- Assess Patients: Collects data and documents information within defined time frame. Identifies patient needs and reports changes in patient condition. Collects and documents pertinent data relative to patient care needs.
- Plan of Care: Participates in identifying needs and delegating patient care. Provides feedback to evaluate course of treatment.
- Provision of Care: Reviews treatment prescription for clarity and ensures processing is complete. Assures that treatment is documented consistent with policy. Provides care and treatment to assigned patients consistent with policy.
- Coordination of Care: Shares information in team conferences and interacts with employees, physicians and patients in a positive and informative manner. Shares patient-related information to facilitate making decisions in the best interest of the patient.
- Patient Education: Identifies patient learning needs and determines teaching method, using appropriate resources. Provides education to the patient / significant others and verbally assures understanding.
