Novant Health is hiring a Medical-Surgical (Med-Surg) licensed practical nurse for the night shift at our New Hanover Regional Medical Center location in Wilmington, NC. We’re offering up to a $10K sign-on bonus as well as up to $3,500 relocation bonus.

About our Medicine IV Unit:
We're seeking compassionate and patientcare driven LPNs to join our Med Surg team! Our unit comprises 41 beds; we have a patient ratio averaging 5-6 :1 it is our goal with our new team model, where every patient is assigned an RN, LPN and CNA it is our goal for the ratio then be 10:2. Given the high modality of the cases we handle, our nursing team thrives on great communication, ongoing team support and training within the workplace. Qualifications
- High School Diploma or greater.
- Current valid North Carolina practical nursing license required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Red Cross or American Heart Association required.

Responsibilities
- Competently provides direct patient care under the supervision of the RN based on appropriate nursing standards, policies and procedures per ANA Standards and the NCBON.
- Provides reinforcement of appropriate and pertinent patient education to the patient/family according to the Plan of Care to facilitate optimal patient function, independence and health.
- Effectively and appropriately delegates specific patient care duties to non-licensed members of the nursing team to assure optimal patient outcomes.
- Appropriately communicates information in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
- Ensures that patients are admitted, transferred and discharged in a timely and efficient manner.
