Full Time Physician Assistant – Primary Care Job Description
The Physician Assistant – Primary Care is responsible for providing direct patient care in a hospital setting. The PA will work under the supervision of a physician and will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including:
- Taking patient histories and performing physical examinations
- Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests
- Developing and implementing treatment plans
- Educating patients and their families about their conditions
- Administering medications and treatments
- Monitoring patient progress
- Coordinating care with other healthcare providers
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor of Science degree in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program. The candidate will also have a current certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). The candidate will have experience working in a hospital setting and will be proficient in the use of electronic medical records. The candidate will be a team player and will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
