Job Description - Radiology Patient Coordinator - Full Time Evenings (3309095)
Schedule: CT/MRI Department. Full Time 40 hours, Evenings. Monday - Friday 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm.
The Radiology Patient Coordinator under the direction of the modality supervisor, assists in the department patient workflow while working under the guidance of a technologist. The Coordinator should be team orientated and comfortable with multi-tasking while maintaining quality, safety, and patient satisfaction.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assists technologists in all areas of Radiology with patient care needs such as patient transfers, patient changing, transporting etc.
- Assists in communication requests from providers by answering and transferring phone calls as needed.
- Assist in Room turn-over.
- Schedule same day add-on, ED, and inpatient requests into the schedule worklist.
- Proficient use of the EMR for history, lab and allergy look-up and documentation.
- Patient ambulatory, wheelchair, and stretcher transport as needed.
- Act as a liaison between front desk in Radiology, ED, and in-patient areas to coordinate timely care of patients.
- Reviewing exam orders to ensure all required documentation is included.
- Consistently demonstrates effective communication, both written and verbal, with all departmental and hospital staff.
- Takes initiative to follow up on matters as required.
- Performs all other duties as assigned or required to ensure efficient operation of the department and quality patient care.

Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma required. Associates degree preferred.
- BCLS, preferred.
- Medical Field experience preferred.
- Staff adheres to all I.C.A.R.E. Standards.
- Must be able to multi-task and think in a proactive manner.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to lift 25 lbs.
- Interpersonal skills to communicate and interact effectively.
- Work in an area that can be noisy and have temperature/humidity variations.
- Continuous sitting and standing.
