POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for the development and implementation of a sales plan for all components of the Visiting Nurse Health System/Home Health (HH) program. Manages the Home Health Business Development team of account executives associated with preferred partners as assigned and daily sales operations. Assures that Home Health services are appropriately represented in all sales and marketing initiatives. Collaborates with Business Development leadership on opportunities throughout the VNHS HH service area. Sales activities will be prioritized in all sectors of healthcare that have or potentially have a need for home health and hospice services including, but not limited to, hospitals, nursing homes, long term care/assisted living facilities, physician offices, community organizations. The AVP of Business will be responsible for and have direct oversight for driving entire sales team member’s performance, meeting and exceeding monthly sales quotas, increasing market-share within HH service territories and CRM meaningful sales team activity oversight. The AVP of Business Development will also maintain a book of business and be responsible for growth of accounts as assigned by the Vice President of Sales.
Provides significant leadership with other Visiting Nurse team members, specifically a team of account executives, to meet and exceed sales goals. May be called upon to assist in the coordination of referrals on occasion. Operational activities such as getting orders signed to support revenue recognition may also be required.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education & Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree required. Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration, or health administration preferred.
Previous Experience: Minimum three years of sales management in home health and/or hospice preferred; minimum five years of sales experience required. Must be able to demonstrate history of successful growth and attainment of goals. Demonstrated strategic planning, growth, and management of health care territories is required. Demonstrated ability to work with all levels of staff, from C-suite to frontline delivery is required.
Certification: Valid and current driver’s license required.
Knowledge/Training: Knowledge of Atlanta health care market and particularly the home health and hospice related sectors of the Atlanta health care market. Knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid and third-party payer entities. Knowledge of principles, practices, and regulatory requirements of marketing home health/hospice care.
Skills: Proven interpersonal skills and effective communication skills; strong presentation skills a must. Ability to gather, analyze and present complex clinical and statistical data. Strong sales, business development, decision making, organizational and communication skills required. Ability to lead and motivate a sales team in a fast-paced environment. Must have impeccable customer service skills and problem-solving skills. Proven proficiency with standard business software (Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint). CRM experience preferred.
