ABA Therapist

We are expanding our team to the following locations: Long Beach, San Pedro, Palos Verdes and South Bay areas (Gardena, Torrance, Hermosa, Manhattan and Redondo Beach).
Job Duties Include:
- Provide direct ABA therapy to children on the autism spectrum to help improve their lives.
- Provide therapy in client's home, school or in the community.
- Accurately collect data on client's behavior and skills.
- Understand and implement programs and protocols.
- Check and maintain schedule on scheduling software.
- Maintain open communication regarding cases with program supervisor.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Required Qualifications:
- Energetic and enthusiastic about working with children, some that engage in severe problem behaviors including but not limited to punching, kicking, biting, throwing objects, spitting, peeing, and scratching.
- Reliable transportation to travel to various case locations.
- A high degree of professionalism and dedication to work on assigned full time and part time schedules, Monday to Friday, Saturdays as needed.
- Criminal background clearance through the State DOJ and FBI.
- TB Clearance
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Physical capability to perform job functions and other assigned duties as the job requires a full range of body motion including the ability to stand, stoop, kneel, reach, run, push, and pull when responding to student challenging behaviors, eye/hand coordination, and the ability to lift students weighing fifty pounds, using proper body mechanics. The position also requires repetitive movements of the wrists, hands and/or fingers, the ability to receive and express detailed information through oral communication, visual acuity, and the ability to read and understand written directions.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree, or enrollment in a B.A./B.S. program (Psychology, Sociology, Education, Social Work, or a related field)
- Experience in working with individuals with disabilities
Compensation & Benefits:
- $21 - $26 per hour based on experience and education.
