We are a small animal practice that practices high quality medicine, Animal Clinic of Milford located in New Haven County, Connecticut is seeking a full-time energetic veterinarian to join their progressive and growing practice. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in medicine, be client-oriented with strong client education skills, and be a dedicated, enthusiastic team player.
Animal Clinic of Milford is a privately owned, small animal practice serving the veterinary needs of pet owners since 1993. Our four-doctor team has a strong partnership with clients built on clear, consistent communication and education. We practice quality medicine in a brand new 2020 finished modern, warm and friendly facility. We also run Beyond the Fence Rescue, having rescued and placed over 500 pets over the last 2 years.
As an associate veterinarian with Animal Clinic of Milford, you will appreciate our wellness care, therapy laser, in-house pharmacy, Abaxis in-house laboratory, digital radiology (including dental), ultrasound, and surgical monitoring equipment, as well as a highly trained technical and friendly support staff. We proudly utilize Ezy Vet as our practice management software.
We focus on a very high standard of medicine while working with the client to develop a manageable patient care plan. Our hospital stresses preventive care, dentistry, exceptional medical workups & treatments, surgery, as well as behavior and nutrition counseling. Our staff to doctor ratio is approximately 4:1. Our normal work schedules are flexible and feature no emergency on-call duty. We offer a fun, collaborative, patient-oriented and supportive environment. Our staff is encouraged to grow professionally with abundant opportunities for CE and mentorship.
We are looking for just the right individual with 2+ years of experience in general medicine and surgery to join our dynamic and compassionate team, and will consider recent graduates with exceptional medicine and communication skills. The right candidate will have a strong interest in medicine, be client-oriented, have strong client education skills, and be a team player. The position requires a minimum of 26 hours per week, but full-time is preferred.

Job Requirements * A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or VMD) degree, or equivalent, from an accredited university.
* Licensure in good standing and eligibility to practice Veterinary Medicine in the State of Connecticut.
