Job Summary and Qualifications
Nuclear Medical Technologist
Our Imaging Teams are a committed, caring group of colleagues. We are seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team. As our new Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will perform diagnostic and therapeutic technical procedures utilizing radiopharmaceuticals. You will perform these procedures in a careful, compassionate, and respectful manner. We prioritize patient care. Your tasks and responsibilities may include:
- Using radioactive isotopes to perform organ and body scans.
- Preparing radioactive isotopes for administration to patients in accordance with physicians' orders. You may administer and record dosages as well.
- Performing diagnostic studies on patients using scanners or scintillation cameras to detect radiation emitted and to produce images of organs on photographic film.
- Positioning patients and adjusting immobilization devices.
- Compassionately explaining procedures to patients and addressing concerns.
- Monitoring, recording, and communicating utilizing computerized documentation.
- Assisting with transporting patients.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of a Nuclear Medicine program.
- AART (NM) and/or CNMT Certification.
- Current American Heart Association Certification in Basic Life Support through the American Heart Association.
- Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, and lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 lbs.
