Job Title: Direct Support Professional-Whittier $500 SIGN-ON BONUS
Hourly Rate: $17.50
Shifts Needed: M-F
Job Status: Part-Time

Redwood Family Care Network is hiring compassionate, amazing providers to support and care for adults and adolescents with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Here's What You'll Do:
Assist adults with physical and developmental disabilities in their daily lives, including complete care of dietary, hygiene, bathing, grooming, and dressing needs.
Essential Functions:
- Pick up/drop off individuals from/to their home/facility (if necessary) using personal vehicle.
- Outline, teach and prepare daily routine(s) for clients as written in Individual Program Plan.
- Support the needs and goals of each consumer by participating in the development of IPP/ISP goals.
- Maintain a clean, safe and healthy environment for the clients.
- Support the needs and goals of each resident by encouraging socialization and participation in leisure activities.
- Assist clients with personal care such as grooming and bathroom needs.
- Prepare daily meals and assist with clean-up.
- Report any incidents or problems and communicate daily with administrators.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
- Minimum Education: High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum Experience: 3+ years of professional or personal experience supporting adults with developmental disabilities or mental illnesses.
- Minimum Driving Experience: Must have a valid in-state driver’s license, be over 21, provide current registration and insurance, and have a driving record with no more than 2 points within the last 3 years.
- CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) preferred or willing to obtain within the first 6 months of hire.
- Must have First Aid / CPR certification.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift 50lbs.
- Frequent bending, reaching, standing, walking, and kneeling.
- Able to work both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
