Job Description:
Responsible for the processing of laboratory specimens and reporting of results in all areas of the clinical laboratory. Maintains laboratory records. Follows laboratory policies and procedures; maintains quality control practices in the laboratory. Performs other duties as assigned.
Equipment Utilized:
Beckman Coulter DxC600i for chemistry and immunochemistry, Sysmex XN3000 for hematology, Siemens CA1500 for coagulation, iRICELL for automated urinalysis (in process of acquiring), Clinitek Advantus for urinalysis, Bac-T-Alert 3D for blood cultures, BioMerieux Vitek 2 for bacterial ID and AST, and Ortho MTS gel system for blood banking.
Required Qualifications:
Training and certification as a MT.
1-2 years generalist experience in an accredited clinical laboratory.
Licensures and Certifications:
MT(ASCP) Certification or equivalent required.
