Position Summary:
The Nurse Coordinator functions independently to coordinate care of patients. Responsible for planning, education and support of patient and family. Assures that the continuum of care process is complete, including intra-interdepartmental process to include: pre-admit, hospitalization, discharge and follow up in the OP. Maintains program data for analysis and RFPs. Works with Director and Medical Director/team for the development and growth of the program. Provides nursing services as needed. Other responsibilities as assigned.
Salary Range:
Annual Rate Minimum $125,363.52 Midpoint $145,408.32 Maximum $165,432.24
Required Qualifications:
- Current CA RN license
- Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
- Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- All external candidates must have a Bachelor of Science in Nursing
- Demonstrated practice with and knowledge of chemotherapy agents
- Minimum 6 months experience working as an RN in an Inpatient or Outpatient Oncology setting OR 1 Year clinical experience and recent completion of cancer basics class from Oncology Nursing Society within previous year
- Basic Life Support certification required
- Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bilingual skills to communicate effectively with patients and families
- Oncology/Hematologic Malignancies patient population knowledge
- Demonstrated knowledge of immunosuppressive therapies
- Knowledge of complications associated with medical and surgical oncology conditions
