Job Description - Clinical Research Fellow (3298053)
This post is for a physician who has completed internal medicine training and is eligible for a Massachusetts Medical License. They will be responsible for contributing to clinical research projects and trials in the BWH Amyloidosis Program, focused on cardiac amyloidosis. This role involves patient recruitment, data collection, analysis, and dissemination of findings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Recruitment and Consent:
- Identify and recruit eligible participants for clinical studies.
- Obtain informed consent from study participants.
- Provide clinical care and support to study participants as required.
- Monitor participants for adverse events and report findings to the principal investigator.
- Monitor participants' adherence to study protocols and address any issues.
- Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure all research activities comply with institutional, federal, and international regulations.
- Assist in the preparation of ethics committee submissions.
- Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Analyze study data using appropriate statistical methods.
- Prepare reports, manuscripts, and presentations of research findings.
- Assist in the preparation of grant applications and progress reports.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including physicians, nurses, and other researchers.
- Communicate effectively with participants, team members, and stakeholders.
- Attend and contribute to research meetings and seminars.
Minimum Requirements:
- Medical degree (MD or equivalent) with clinical experience.
- Internal Medicine training completed.
- Eligible for Massachusetts Medical License.
- Knowledge of Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines and regulatory requirements.
- Proficiency in data analysis software and statistical tools.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Working Conditions:
