Capital Management ensures integrity and efficiency of Citigroup and CBNA capital profiles, on both an actual and forecasted basis, across the capital continuum ranging from BAU through simulated stress environments consistent with CCAR and QMMF (Quarterly Multi-Year Forecasting) assumptions. The team ensures the execution of BAU processes in a highly controlled, well-governed manner, and drives continuous improvement across the organization by addressing remediation efforts.
The head of the Capital Stress Testing team oversees the design and execution of QMMF and CCAR/DFAST stress testing processes in support of Citi's capital planning processes. The role requires extensive collaboration with stakeholders across Finance, Risk, Internal Audit and other areas to ensure alignment with firm's objectives and regulatory requirements.
This person will focus on design and implementation of well-controlled processes that enable the firm to effectively measure the firm's capital adequacy under various economic scenarios. The individual in this role will provide strategic recommendations to senior management and will drive execution across the firm in collaboration with senior stakeholders. The ideal candidate will provide strategic insights to senior management and will be relied upon to identify issues and drive remediation expediently. Additional responsibilities include ownership of the firm's CCAR Exam.
Responsibilities: - Lead stress testing production process overseeing workstream's books of work; tracking progress against deliverables; and solving concerns before they become material issues
- Assess firm's processes and ensure appropriate existence and effectiveness of controls
- Own and produce firm's annual Capital Plan
- Manage, oversee, and submit the firm's Y-14A Report
- Produce and submit relevant CCAR/DFAST disclosures
- Validate that workstream processes adhere to regulatory and firm requirements
- Complete 2024 Current State and Target State RCEN requirements, including CCAR workstream MLE level forecasts
- Own the firm's CCAR Exam and act as primary point of contact with regulatory agencies
- Manage all components of CCAR/DFST exam in partnership with Finance Regulatory Engagement acting as a key point of contact for Accountable Executives across the firm throughout examination period
- Remediate outstanding Regulatory, Risk Management, and Audit Issues
- Self-identify areas for improvement across the process and maintain continuous improvement mind-set
Qualifications: - 15+ years relevant experience
- Bachelors' degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related field, Masters preferred
- In depth knowledge of banking products / systems
- Broad and comprehensive knowledge of the different systems, theories and practices relevant to a function as well as practical experience of multiple business cycles.
- In-depth knowledge of the industry and direct competitors' products/services is also necessary in order to contribute to the commercial objectives of the business.
- Requires thorough understanding of strategic direction of the function within the business, combined with a solid conceptual/practical grounding in both the function and/ or area of expertise.
- Excellent communication skills required in order to influence a wide range of audiences.
- The job is likely to be involved in both internal and external negotiations which will have a major impact on the area managed, and possibly on other related areas and organization as a whole.
